RCやクラッシュやピストルズとまた違ったいいバンドがでてきたなと思った。人の心を動かす何かを持っている。それは意識的にも潜在的にも持ち合わせていると思う。理屈抜きでいいものはいいのだ。

　苦しいとき、悲しいとき、傷ついたとき、人を信じられなくなったとき、生きていたいと思えなくなったとき、気が付くといつもこのアルバムを取り出し聴いていた。いつもこのアルバムと共にあった。

　生への衝動や喜び、信じる力、明日への不安と希望、自分だけの真実を掴み取ろうとする姿勢、そんなすべてが詞や音からあふれている。

　逆境と戦うすべての人へ。そしてロックが好きなすべての人へ。

独りぼっちだった10代のころ僕はこのアルバムに衝撃を受け「ハマッタ」。
すぐさまブルーハーツに惚れ込んだ。

「僕らは泣くために生まれたわけじゃない」
「僕らは負けるために生まれたわけじゃない」
「くそったれの世の中にションベンかけてやろう」

最高だった。言葉のひとつひとつが乾いた気持ちにビンビン響いた。

TVでみたヒロト（Vo.）のワケが分からない、狂ったようなアクションも
80年代の無力な若者の「不定形」な怒りを代弁しているような気がした。

あれから随分経って、僕はこのアルバムを聞くことも少なくなったけど
ここにある荒削りな「衝動」は正当なものだと今でも強く思う。

ブルーハーツは日本のパンクの最高峰として

このアルバムは昭和の大傑作として、歴史に残るはず。
ヒロトの歌は荒々しく攻撃的でありながらとても優しく、切ない。
そして彼は類まれなメロディメーカーであり天才的な詩人だ。

ときおり悲しい辛い思いをしている、怒りや憤りを感じている
そんなあらゆる若者にぜひ聴いてもらいたい。
