5.0 out of 5 stars 迫力あるルービンシュタインのバラ・スケ！, 2004/8/25
ルービンシュタインのショパンというと、もはや言うまでもないといわれる程
の出来映えである。そんな彼の作品の中でも、このアルバムは特に推薦したい。

　技巧的にも難しい作品であるので、ルービンシュタインのような巨匠級が弾いてこそ、その真価が発揮されるのが理由であるが、すさまじい迫力溢れるスケルツオ１番、気高い気品が感じられるスケルツオ2番など、個性的な演奏である点も聴いていて面白い。

　スタンダードなアルバムを求めている人も、あるいは個性的な演奏を求める人にもどちらにもお薦めである。

曲自体がもともと劇的に構成されているバラードとスケルツォだが、またその上に過剰にドラマチックに演奏するピアニストが多い中で、ルビンシュタインは淡々と演奏していて、それが一層ショパンの魅力を引き出しているようだ。

今のピアニスト達も素晴らしい演奏をするけれど、クラシックというのは今も昔も変わらずいい演奏があることが素晴らしい。このバラード4曲、スケルツォ4曲は、全てにおいて完璧だと思う。ルービンシュタインは1時代前の巨匠。この時代、ショパンの演奏においてはルービンシュタインをしのぐピアニストはいなかったのではないかと想像する。生で聴きたかった。
