'93年に渋谷のライブハウスで行われた名演の記録。どの人もファンキー野郎度(^^;では引けをとらないのは承知の上ですが、やはり、要はB.パーディ（ds）。
冒頭[1]からノリにノッたバチさばきを披露。B.パーディ自身の思い入れもあろう[5]は言うに及ばす、先ずはこの天性とも言えるグルーヴ・マスターの前にひれ伏すこと必至です。
もう一人、個人的な思い入れが強いのがデビッドT.ウォーカー（g）。年季の入ったソロ、絶妙のリズム感で魅せるバッキング。[3]でのソロに鳥肌を覚えるのは（ファンなら）皆同じではないでしょうか？
こぼれ話ですが、元はgとしてC.デュプリーが参加予定だったらしいです。が急にNGになり、代役としてデビッドTが参加。うーん、もしC.デュプリーが演っていたら、、、それも凄く興味が湧きますね。
そして、ブルーノートの諸作でもソウル・ジャズの伝道師？として鳴らしたL.ドナルドソン。まんまブルースである[4]などを聴けば、奥底にあるのはジャズ・マン魂？ではなくソウル・マン（いや、ブルース・マンか(^^;）のそれである事は一目瞭然かと。無論、大ヒット作からの[6]もしっかりとプレーしてくれています。
いやはや、ソウル系ジャズに心動かされる方、参加メンバのだれか一人にでも興味がある（ファンである）という方はには一聴をお勧めします。
がしかし、CDは入手困難ですね、、、トホホです。未聴の方は辛抱強く中古が出てくるのを待つしかないですかね、、等と思っていたら、先頃（2005/10頃）DVD化された様子 (^^)v。これは何を置いてもゲットですよ。
