カルト的なファンが多く存在するミレーヌ・ファルメールのセカンド。日本版は発売されていないが、「Ainsi Soit Je...」 の前に「Cendres de Lune」というアルバムが出ているそうなので、サードアルバムになるのだろうか。ある程度の精神的にしっかりした常識のある大人でなければ、このアルバムは危険かもしれない。注目は間違いなく「Desenchantee」に尽きる。CDもいいのだが、それ以上にふんだんに金がかかったプロモーションフィルムに注目したい。おそらくホロコーストやラーゲリをイメージして作られている。クールなイントロに始まり、テレビで流れる共産主義国のマスゲームのように均整の取れたコーラスで♪♪Tout est chaos　♪A cote　♪Tous mes ideaux　des mots Abimes... ♪Je cherche une ame, qui　Pourra m'aider　Je suis d'une generation desenchantee, desenchantee♪♪と繰り返す。ちなみに、このときの強烈なイメージを契機にファンになった方は、その後の変化に少なからずショックを受けることになる。どういう意味か？たとえば、シダ科の植物は軒下のジメジメした日陰を好んで生息する。仮に日向に移植した場合、水を多く与えたとしても葉っぱがカサカサに乾き、枯れてくる。彼女は後日、光が燦燦と降り注ぐカリフォルニアに活動拠点を移す。勝手な私の想像だが、今まで隠れていたベールが剥がれ落ちてしまったような気がするのだ。当時、がっかりした記憶がある。なお、彼女はプロモーションでの来日実績はあるのだが、日本でのコンサートの実績はない。アニメや、スプラッタームービーが好きな方は、その世界観がしっくり来るかもしれない。ふと思ったのだが．．．彼女は、夏休みにみんなで海に行かないタイプだ。

前作が良かったので、当然買ってみた。相変わらずのミレーヌ＝ブトナ・ワールドだが、シンプルでテクノ色が強い、さらに暗く重い作品となっている。聴きものは、ＲＥＧＲＥＴＳ，ＢＥＹＯＮＤ　ＭＹ　ＣＯＮＴＲＯＬ，ＤＥＳＥＮＣＨＡＮＴＥＥあたりか。彼女の初期のスタイルの完成型が見える。楽曲全般で、非常に表情豊かなベースを奏でるのは、マグマのベルナール・パガノッティ。
