このアルバム中の８曲はジェイムス・テイラーの自宅で録音されているそうです。そのためか、ほかに類をみないくらいリラックスした内容になっています。ひたすら優しく歌われた曲を、おなじみのダニー・クーチ、ラス・カンケル、リー・スクラーという面々が、ソウルを隠し味にしてちょっぴりファンキーに仕上げました。シンプルなメロディーに予想を上回るベースラインという、ＪＴの独特なシンコペーションが存分に味わえます。プロデュースのピーター・アッシャーがＪＴの穏やかな持ち味を余すところなく引き出した最高傑作だと思いますよ。１０年以上前にはじめて聞いてから今日までずっと愛聴盤です。あなたも小春日和にはこのアルバムを聞きながらおいしいお茶をどうぞ。

何年前に発売されたのだろう?２５年前位だろうか?
初めて買ったジェームス・テイラーのLPでした。
それまでヒット曲は知っていたのですが、あまり好きではありませんでした。
たまたま買ったのです。それまでのイメージが払拭されました。
良いんです。小品がいくつも入っていて、それぞれが良い。

子供達が大きくなり、居間を占領され、居所が無くなったオヤジに・・・。
雪の降る寂しい夜、オイル・ヒーターに体を寄せ、小さなCDラジカセで
ひっそりと音楽を聴いているオヤジに・・・。いいぞこれ。

全18曲ですが、殆ど3分以下の短い曲が、メドレーのように柔らかく連なっていて、いつのまにか、聴き終わってしまいます。
　程よくアコースティックで少しファンキー。各楽器の音の粒と流れが、絶妙なアンサンブルを紡ぎます。あっさりとしていながら、奥深い味わいのかつおだしといった感じです。
