私は英語講師をしていますが、初心者には必ずこの本を使ってレッスンしています。
その理由は、

１．絵がとてもカラフルでかわいらしい
２．50あるTopic全てに歌やチャントがついているので、
　　英語のリズムを無理なく楽しく身につけることができる
３．各ページで宝探しゲームができるので、観察力が身に付く
４．CDの中で聞こえてくる会話や歌の声がとても生き生き
　　しているので、楽しみながらまねできる

などです。
英語に初めて触れる子供さんはもちろん、
学校英語に対して苦手意識を持っている大人の英語学習者にも
最適な教材です。

50のtopicから成り、それぞれのテーマごとに、可愛らしく鮮やかな絵を見ながら、単語を覚えていくようになっています。
子供英語のレッスンで、週に1回１topicを取り上げていますが、単語を覚えるほか、絵のなかに隠れているobjectを見つけ出すのも、子供たちの楽しみになっています。
その他、絵を利用して、様々な質問をしたりしています。
CDが2枚付いていて、dialogsやchants、songsがたくさん入っていますので、楽しみながら英語に親しむことができます。
それもTopic40まで進み、そろそろ本書に連動したWorkbookに移行したいと考えています。
使えるdictionary、お奨めします。

幼稚園生~小学校６年生まで、幅広い年齢の子供たちがとても喜んでいます。絵だけではなく、子供たちに分かりやすい大きさの実物の写真もあり、CD２枚付。CDは今まで購入しても、実際に買ってみるとただ単語を単調に読み上げているだけという物が多くてがっかりするのですが、ここには単語を覚える為の歌やチャンツが各単元に必ず入っています。それだけでなく、各ページにウォーリーを探せのようなわくわくするACTIVITYがあって子供たちに大ウケです。
