お医者様と看護婦さんの心温まるお話し、と思ったら大間違い。ちょっとシュールで、でもコミカルな楽しい本です。続編の『へびのせんせいとさるのかんごふさん』もおすすめ。小学校の読み聞かせで２冊同時に読んだら大受けで、リクエストされて、後日もう一度読むことになったほどです。小学校低学年のお子さんに絶大の人気です。ぜひ、２冊一度に読んでみてください。

次々とやってくる森の患者さんとかわいらしいヘビの看護婦さんの大活躍に娘もドキドキでした。意表をついた治療に、大人もビックリです。絵も明るく、ダイナミックで、愉快です。何度読んでも、後ろから読んでも、おもしろい絵本でした。

病院は怖い・痛いだけじゃないんだよ、と教えてあげようと思い、病院がテーマになっている絵本を探していた時、テレビ番組の読み聞かせでこの絵本を知りました。色使いもキレイですし悲壮感もないので子供もとても喜んでいます。子供が巳年生まれという事もありヘビにちなんだ絵本（ただし気持ち悪くないもの）も探している最中でしたので私にとっては一石二鳥の絵本になりました。
