あくまで私の場合ですが、
スコアアップには役に立ちませんでした。
これを徹底的にやったけれど、リスニングは全く上がりませんでした。
良くなかった点を挙げると

・音質が悪い。
　（TOEFL本番は音質が悪い。でもここまでは悪くない。
　　練習でここまで悪いと練習にならない。
　　ほとんど判別できない。）
・longer conversationとclassのダイアログが短すぎる。
　（本番はもっと長い。この本では十分なスタミナがつかない）
・喋るスピードが極端に遅い。
　（よくて10点とかを取る人のスピードでは…。）

　20点以上を取るなら、もっと早くて子音だらけの
　ものを 聴けるようにならないとだめだと思います。
（250が欲しければリスニング20は狙った方がいいと思います。）
かといって、10点を切っているからといって、
この本でそれ以上には、私はなりませんでした。

　リスニング能力の強化を参考書だけに依存するわけには
いかないけれど、この本が有効な近道のひとつとは思えません。

1.0 out of 5 stars ボリュームだけの受験問題集, 2006/7/27
攻略というよりは問題集です。リスニングを行う上でどのような事に留意して聞くべきか等の記述は少ないです。
リスニングが得意ではない人が（多くの日本人が該当するでしょうが）1冊目に選ぶ本ではないと思います。
ただ本書の長所は解説が比較的しっかり記述されている点です。それと、リスニングのショートカンバセーションで頻出するイディオムを広くカバーしている点です。
ある程度、リスニングの訓練をした人にはいいのではないでしょうか？ただ、まったくリスニングの訓練をしていない人には、多少厳しいような気がします。
なので、もっと英語を聞き込みたい人や日本の難関大の受験にはいいと思います。

確かに、メリハリが無くて、使いにくい。
私のような初心者にはまったく効果なし。
文字もぎゅーぎゅー詰めで、解説がやたら多くて、問題も実際の試験より難しかったり、内容もちょっと違う。
やっぱり、TOEFLは和書にはあまりいいものはない。
（でも、アルクのTOEFL250だけは最高によかったが）
次回に期待。
