アンジーのファンサイトからこの本を知り購入しました。
日記という前提で、淡々と状況を伝え、感情や感動までが
淡々と語られているように感じました。
それが直の事、彼女が感じた色々なことがショッキングであり
文字で書ききれないほどの感動があったことが想像できました。
私はこの本を少しづつ読みました。
今の自分の環境のありがたさを忘れて、勝手な人間になりそうな時
この本を開きます。

以前の私は
「アンジェリーナジョリーがどこかでボランティアをしていて
親善大使という肩書きをもらった。
それも多分体を汚すことなく寄付をしての事で売名行為目的だ。
何不自由ないハリウッドセレブがまさかそんなことするわけがない。」
そう思っていました。

でもこの日記を読み終えて、
この日記の中には、難民の事を真剣に考え悩み、
実際にＵＮＨＣＲの方たちと一緒になって危ない地域に入って
献身的に難民のために働いている彼女がいました・・・。
（売名行為なんて思ってごめんなさい）

難民の存在も知らなかった私にとって、とても衝撃的な内容でした。
今まで何も知らずに生きていたことが恥ずかしい。
地球に生きる人間として今の現状を知ることは義務で、
無関心は罪だと思う。
そして自分に何ができるか考えるべきだと思う。

今私にできることは
資金不足に悩むＵＮＨＣＲに毎月できる限りの寄付をすることと、
この「アンジェリーナジョリー思いは国境を越えて」をおすすめすることです。

人生観の変わる１冊です。

私は元々アンジーの大ファンであり、この本を読むのもただアンジーが書いた本だから。という理由でした。彼女が前々からUNHCRの親善大使に任命されたことは知っていましたが、それ以外の知識は何もありませんでした。ですが、この本を読むうちに彼女が取り組む難民問題が身近なものに感じられ、完読した時には著者がアンジーだという事を忘れていました。それ程、難民問題は残酷で深刻な問題でした。アンジーはただ、その現場へ行き切実にその状況を私達に伝えようとしています。その中に売名行為・偽善といったものはひとつも感じられません。何よりもこの本は私達一人ひとりに語りかけるものがあります。私もこの本に突き動かされ、今ではUNHCRの助っ人会員として活動をし始めています。この本との出会いは衝撃でした
