これまでレイキについて書かれた書物は何冊か読んできたが、その中でも本書が一番のお薦めである。
理由は、実際にレイキの経験談が本文の中に折りにふれ載せられており、レイキを実践しているヒーラーでなければ書けない真の書であることにある。昨今、単にアチューメント(レイキの伝授)だけを行うマスターが増えているなか、活きたレイキを使うマスターが書いた貴重な一冊である。
内容も読み易い構成になっており、主に体験談を中心に読者をリードし、写真入りの分かり易い技法解説、グランドマスター達の興味深い挿話、代替医療としての展望まで触れている。これ一冊で十分レイキについて学ぶことが出来るのではないだろうか。
　最後に、私自身も家族に癌患者を持った経験からレイキにたどりついた訳であるが、本書等をきっかけとして一人でも多くの人がレイキを知り、活用されることを心から望むものである。

レイキに興味を持って、いろいろ調べたが、テクニックだけを教えるだけのものが多く、粗製濫造で本当にヒーリングをすることができるのかという疑問を持っていた。この本を読んで、レイキは人間の体、感情、精神を癒す、人間を幸せにするために、真剣に一人一人の人と向かい合っていくことの大切さが、著者、その他の方々の体験を基にして伝わってきた。ストレスに満ち満ちたこの社会の中で、人間として生まれたということは何らかの役割を持っていることであり、ひたむきに、生きてその役割を探し求めていくための指針として、本書はいいきっかけを与えてくれると思う。私も本書を読んで著者のヒーラー養成コースへ入り、現在３ステップ目の途中であるが、自分の内面に触れ、レイキのアチューンメントを受けて目の前の世界が変わったのは事実である。

この本は、著者の深い体験と全人格から繰り出されるメッセージが込められている。レイキに関する紹介は、えてして手軽なヒーリング術である面が強調されがちであるが、この本は著者の深い人生経験に基づき、人生全体の中からレイキを捉えており、説得力が違う。また、日本で生まれた伝統霊気の歴史とその教えに関しても詳述されており、欧米からの逆輸入の解説に終始するものとは一線を画しており、現代の日本人が、誇りをもって「レイキ」を学ぶ導入として優れているのではないか。
