シルバーバーチとともに、霊言（霊媒を支配して霊媒の口で語る）によるチャネリングの双璧として知られるホワイトイーグルの最新刊。日本語で読めるホワイトイーグルの本としては最も読みやすい翻訳だと思います。

シルバーバーチは宗教色が薄く、文章も美しく流麗で、人間の理性に訴えかけることを旨としているので、偏見のない開けた心の持ち主なら、国籍・人種・宗教などを問わず万人に受け入れられるものだと思いますが、ホワイトイーグルの教えにはキリスト教徒向けの寓話が多いので、それに抵抗を感じる人もいると思います。

私自身無宗教ですが、真理をわかりやすく伝えるための寓話だと割り切っているので、さほど抵抗は感じません。メッセージが降ろされた場所がイギリスなので、仕方のないことだと思います。基本的にはシルバーバーチと同じことを語っています。真実が一つではないとしても、真実同士が食い違うことはありえませんから、考えてみれば当然のことですね。内容は多岐に渡っており、日常生活に役立つと思います。シルバーバーチが理性的で、ときに厳しさを感じさせるのに対して、感覚的でひたすらに優しく、心がなごみます。ホワイト・イーグルは女性にも受け入れやすいと思います。

これはシルバーバーチにもいえることですが、シンプルな言葉に含まれた深遠な意味を理解するには、頭だけで理解しようとせずに、物事をこうと決め付けずに様々な可能性を仮定できる柔軟な心と想像力をもつこと、そして実践（体験）を通して体（あるいはハート）で感じて悟ることが重要だと思います。

特に印象に残ったメッセージはこれです。
「神があなたの目の前に置かれた仕事をまずやりなさい。」
「（人は物質的な生活と霊的な生命の本質との）両方の側面を認識して調整して完璧なバランスを取らなければなりません。」
「地に足をつけることは確かに大切です。しかし、同時に顔を天に向かってあげてください。というのは、高い世界からどっと注がれる光があなたの足元をしっかりと固定し、正しい道を歩む手助けをしてくれるからです。」
