　著者は、インドのキリスト聖者サンダー・シングが天界の高みにおけるキリストの聖徒として最も尊敬している聖者で、キリストにより天界に導かれ、２２年間に及ぶ天界の見聞を基に本書を記したものです。
　人は何処から来て何処に行くのかがわかります。そして何を生きるべきかがわかります。
　何よりも大事なことは、「人は内で思うとおりの人になるもの」であり、死後天界にいたれば、その思いの結果として「命の書」（本人の何たるかは、完全な記録ビデオのように誰からもわかる様になる）そのものを背負いながら永遠の人生を歩むことになります。
　したがって、この世における思いの浄化、良心の大切さは人生の成就のみならず、永遠の人生において重要であることに気づかされます。

　本書を読みますとジェームス・アレンの「原因と結果の法則」の重要さが違ってきます。まさに内なる悪から救いくださいと祈りたくなります。

スエデンボルイの言わんとすることは役立ちの人生の大切さであると思う。

そして、愛と知恵、善と真理などすべての価値がそこにおいて一つとなると説く。

そして、それは根本的に神に通じ、天界に通じると説き、

その逆が地獄である。

この書は霊界が何たるかを教えてくれる。すべては生き様が己の永遠を決定すると。
