感情を交えず論理的に話を進める、という割にはその論理には穴が多い。「頭が弱い」という言葉が本文中多数書かれているけど、著者も相当「頭が弱い」方に思えた。
他者の意見に聞く耳を持たな過ぎる感と、何でもかんでも自分の論に都合よく解釈する感があった。この本の内容を鵜呑みにするのは危険。

とは言え、一部良い事を主張しているのも確か。他の死刑存続論者の本と死刑廃止論者の本も合わせて読むといいかも知れない。
「本当にこの意見は正しいか」と反証しながら。
自分は死刑推進論者でも廃止論者でもないが、随分考えさせられた。

ちなみに合わせるのにお勧めなのは

ひたすら感情に任せて書き上げたような死刑存続派の本。
当たり前に持っている感情を前面に押し出していますので、ある程度の共感は誰しも出来るでしょう。

ただ、言葉が乱暴（「頭が弱い」とかよく出てくる）なのと、理性で抑えてある感情の部分をさらけ出しているので、読んでいて結構きついところもあります。

それでも、「被害者の人権はどうするんだ！」という筆者の怒りはよく伝わります。

なんとなく小林よしのりをイメージさせる雰囲気。

題名は確かに過激です。でも、一読して頂ければ、多くの方が「なるほど」とうなずかれるでしょう。死刑反対論者にも、死刑賛成論者にも、ぜひ読んでもらいたい。この本の語る熱いメッセージを皆さんに知って頂きたい。
