　冬のある日、小学校の社会見学で、ＮＹのエンパイア・ステイト・ビルディングに行った少年。雲つくような超高層ビルの展望台で、少年はひとり（？）の雲と友だちになります。そして、ふわふわした雲くんに乗って、クラウド運航管理センター「セクター７」を訪れて･･････というふうに広がっていくストーリー。
　台詞や文章がひとつとしてない絵本ですが、アニメ映画さながらに展開していく絵を見ていると、会話の台詞やなんかが漫画のふきだしのように頭の中でぶわっとふくらみ、音が付いていく気がしました。自分がナレーターになって、頭の中に聞こえてくる声を拾っていくみたいな、そんな気持ちになったんですよ。頭の中で空想に形を与えていくイマジネイティヴな作業が、とても刺激的で面白かった。
　魚（さかな）好きの少年がアイデアを出したあることが、実際に形になるシーン。そこんところの絵が実にファンタジックで、のびやかさにあふれていて、素敵でした。心がふわっと軽くなって、ほっこりふくらんでいく感じって言ったらいいかな。冬のＮＹの奇跡に遭遇して、「わあっ！」と歓声を上げたくなった一冊。この絵本、いいですよー。

この本には　文は一切ありません。 でも　絵を見ているだけで　しぜんと不思議な世界へ 連れていかれます。それほど　著者の描写力は すばらしいです。著者は空が大好きだそうですが その「空」が　この本の主役となって　空想の世界を ただよわせてくれること、間違いなし！です。 読み終わった後も　余韻にひたれる素敵な１冊です。

どうせ文字がありませんので，英語版(ISBN:0395746566)をお薦めします。
安いです。

絵はすごいけど、途中から飽きてきた。子供の頃よりも空想力が劣ってしまったのかな。子供なら誰しも1度は心に描いたことのある雲のストーリー。文字なし。
