筆者が1９９６年から１０年に亘り月刊誌に寄稿した人生訓、経営訓を一冊に纏めたもの。１７の訓話が、人生の目的、思いの力、自らを慎む、道をひらくものの４章に整理されている。いずれも、筆者の人生観に裏打ちされた含蓄のある重い中味を持っており、自己への戒め、自己への叱咤として振り返り読む価値のある書である。

著者の稲盛氏の「謙虚さ」で貫かれている生き方・考え方に本当に感動しました。特に「才能を私物化してはいけない」という言葉には、心動かされるものがありました。人は他人より優れたものがあると、それだけで自分はすごいものであると驕ってしまします。しかし、優れた才能というものは、稲盛氏が述べているとおり、「世のため人のために使いなさい」と天が与えてくれたものだと思いました。稲盛氏の一貫した生き方である「謙虚さ」を見習って、驕ることなく、人の役に立つという奉仕の精神で日常生活を送りたいと思います。

私は子育ても終え、孫も2人いる65歳の専業主婦ですが、この本を読み「まだまだ人生を充実させられる!」と、とても明るい気持ちになりました。普段は本もあまり読まない私ですが、この本は短い文章の中に込められた言葉に、生きる勇気を与えてくれる力強さを感じました。すごくいい本にめぐり逢いました。
