山崎 亨
1954年滋賀県生まれ。鳥取大学獣医学科卒業後、信州大学教育学部生態学研究室で鳥類生態学を学ぶ。1977年から滋賀県職員として、畜産行政や家畜伝染病予防業務に携わりながら、ライフワークとして、イヌワシ・クマタカの生態研究および野生動物医学を通じた自然環境保全に取り組む。1995年からアジアの猛禽類の研究と保護の推進に着手し、1998年にアジアで初めての猛禽類シンポジウムを滋賀県で開催したのを機に、1999年にアジア猛禽類ネットワークの設立に尽力。2004年に滋賀県職員を辞め、アジアの自然環境保全を図るため、アジア各国での地域住民と一体となった猛禽類の研究と保護活動に傾注している(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
