エッセイであって、ＨＯＷＴＯではありません。自転車通勤の心得が書いてあるのかと思いましたが、そうではありませんでした。新鮮でした。筆者が男性で、豪雪地帯在住でないなど有利な条件はあるけれど、自転車に乗った事によって、あるいは少数派になった事によってはっきりと見えてきた様々な出来事が綴られています。

自転車通勤に興味を持ち始めたアナタにおすすめです。アナタの頭のなかには自転車通勤の可能性とそれは無理だという様々な理由がせめぎ合っていることでしょう。この本を読むことによってそれらの障害は全てなくなります。さあ、休みの日に一度シミュレーション通勤をしてみましょう。結構イケルことに気付くと思います。

　自転車通勤をする上でのあまり細かいノウハウにはページが割かれていませんので、すでに何年もしている方にはあまり参考にはならないかも。もちろん初心者向けには十分な情報量です。

電車50分、車渋滞次第、自転車45分。私の通勤時間です。何をとっても悪いことナシ。季節を肌で感じる。ここに書かれている事は実際に誰でもすぐに体験できることです。 私も早く自転車専用道路が完備され、安全に楽しい自転車生活ができることを待ち望んでいます。
