内容】時代背景は禁酒法が終わったばかりのアメリカ
舞台は、脱獄不可能と映画やドラマで取り出されるアルカトラズ刑務所中心
出演者は、比較的常識人フィーロ、イカレタ不良ラッド、謎の多いヒューイを
中心とした沢山の仲間たち
謎の多いヒューイが企む恐ろしい実験。それを止めるためにＦＢＩのヴィクターが
動く。それにまきこまれるフィーロと何故かアイザック。

批評】今回、つづくにて終わります。
２年ぶりの刊行でつづくは厳しいですが、
次巻は早めにでるのではないかと思います。（希望的観測）

バッカーノ禁酒法時代１部完を目指すべく、大きな舞台を動かす序章といった印象
ただし、キャラクター総出演かと思いきや、まったく出さないキャラも多く
（ガンドールファミリーやマルティージョファミリーはほとんど出ません）
すっきりとした内容。読みやすく感情移入しやすい。
あっという間に読んでしまいました。

次巻が待ち遠しいです。

　２年ぶりのバッカーノは、やはり面白かった。
　今も昔もアルカトラズという名前には小説のネタが幾らでも転がっているという、いい見本。
そこにバッカーノな面々が乗り込んでいくのだから、面白くならないわけがない、といったところ。
　もっとも乗り込むのは、予告にあったヴィーノではなく、フィーロだったり、
某カップルの片割れだったりと、なかなか意表を突いてくれます。
　意表を突くといえば、今回も成田良悟お得意の引っかけがあります。
　○○○○○ス・○○○○ンって一体。。。

　ただ全体的な評価は、まだ保留。
　言える事は一つ、早く「1934娑婆編」を読まろ！
　今回の「1934獄中編」は、「1931鈍行編」「1931急行編」を彷彿とさせるような、
「1934娑婆編」と表裏一体の仕掛けとなっている以上、この巻だけでは全然すっきりしないようになっています。
　とにかく１２月刊行予定の「1934娑婆編」が早く読みたい！
　……せめて連続刊行にして欲しかった。。。

2年の沈黙を破って「バッカーノ！」第6弾発進！

今までのさんざん暗躍してきた“一番悪そうな不死者”ヒューイが中心のお話です。

とは言え、黒幕体質なのかほとんど座ったままのヒューイさん。
薄倖の主人公・フィーロを軸にお話は進みます。
「バッカーノ！」の魅力は過去に出てきた多勢のキャラクターが
ペルシャ絨毯の複雑な模様の縦糸と横糸のように
絡み合って織り上げられていく展開です。
今作も何人ものいつものキャラクター達と、
やっぱり出てきた新しいキャラクター達が
上を下への大騒ぎをやらかします。

「獄中編」ってことで、謎は「娑婆編」に引き継がれます。
どうせならさらに謎を深めて前中後編ってどうでしょう、成田さん？

年末にはコミック化もされるというので、
これから目が離せませんよ!!
