僕はアニメから入って次にコミック、最後にこの小説ときました。
大筋でははずむ、とまり、やす菜の三角関係に焦点が当てられているのですが、コミックとアニメでは傍観者であるあゆき、専らギャグ担当の明日太をストーリーに含めてラブコメの雰囲気を醸しているのに対し、小説ではこれらの要素がかなり希薄になっています。
そのぶん小説では主にはずむが女性化したこと自体への葛藤とそれに呼応する形でとまり、やす菜が自身の想いを見つめなおす描写が多分に盛り込まれており、少女たちのとまどいであったりお互いの意思などが他メディア作品よりも読み取れるようになっています。小説版での特徴はじゃんぷぅが物語に絡むことではずむの悩みが昇華されていく点でしょうか。
個人的にはラブコメの印象が固まった後に小説に入ったため各メディアにランク付けすると小説は三位です。これが逆の入り方だとまた違ったと思います。
かしましの世界に触れるならばぜひ全メディア作品に接して欲しいです。

TS物としては良い。
でもね・・やはり、女性が書いたからなのか、明日太の親友としての立場があまりにも無さすぎ。
親友ってそんなもの?
無視できるもの?
主人公の明日太への友情も全く見えないし。
だいたい真っ先に親友に相談すると思うのだが・・。
何か男の友情が凄く軽く見られている気がして、嫌な気分だけが残った。
残念な作品。

　アニメやコミックでは、はずむが女性としての生活に適応してゆく描写は精々下着程度で、後はさほど突っ込まずにさらりと流していますけど、
小説では、女物の服に袖を通す戸惑い、初めてお風呂やトイレに入る気恥ずかしさと、TS（性転換）モノの定石を、女性ならではの視点と繊細な文章できちんと描写し、それを土台として、「女が女を好きになるとはどういうことか」というのを、男性にもわかりやすく説明しています。
　はずむ、やす菜、とまりと、パートごとに語り手が切り替わるのも、
アニメじゃ説明不足になりがちな、やす菜ととまりの心情を描く、絶妙の手法ですね。
（できれば、あゆきや明日太視点でも書いて欲しかったのですけど･･････）
　それに、アニメやコミックでは、別にいてもいなくてもよかった気がするジャン・プウが、かなりいい味を出しててGood＾＾ｂ
　映像作品では描きにくい心理描写がふんだんに盛り込まれているので、
読むとアニメでもコミックでも足りなかった、隙間を埋めてくれることでしょう。
