いつも本屋で、素敵だ！！と感じる料理の本には、必ずといっていほどスタイリング：高橋みどりと記されていて、ずっと高橋さんのセッティングする器に興味を抱いてました。そんな興味を２倍に盛り上げてくれるのがこの本です。

高橋さんご自身の生活の中で大切に一緒に暮らしている器たちがたくさん登場します。器のまわりに気持ち良い風が吹かれているように見える風情のある器の数々。そしてシンプルで滋味あふれるお料理も美味しそうです。
高橋さん独自の感性のアンテナに触れた器との出会いを日々愉しんでいるのが伝わってくる本です。

最近、あまり本を買わなくなりました。
図書館で済ませられるものは図書館で済ませ、
もしくは友人から借りたり、とそんなふうでした。

そんな中、これはちょっぴり勇気を出して購入しましたが、
これは、図書館で借りちゃだめな本ですね。
常に手元において、テーブルコーディネイトを参考にしたり、
ちょっとお金が出来たときに、器を買いに行こう、と

この本片手にお散歩するような、そんな本です。
巻末には、お店ガイドも出ていて、住所、電話番号も
きちんと載っていて親切だし、
お店が都内だけではなく、日本全国（は大げさか？）の
お店が紹介されているので、東京以外に住んでいる方でも
楽しめると思います。

ちょうどこれから、一人暮しをはじめる方や新婚生活を
はじめる方ならなおさら買い！

器を買う前にこの本を手にとって、てんでんばらばらの
安っぽい食器を買うのではなく、本を参考にしながら
一つ、また一つ、丁寧に買い揃えてほしいです。
（私はそれが出来なかったので）

でも、ずっと手元においておきたい本です。
雑誌では、ちらほらお部屋など拝見していましたが、これで十分満足です。
マッタリ生活や食べること楽しんでる様子が良くわかり、写真をみるだけでも楽しいです。
堀井和子さん、伊藤まさこさんが好きな人は好きじゃないかな、と思います。
