英会話講師をしている私から見ても、なかなか良いと思います。
気軽に使える表現もたくさんあって、中級者の方でも
会話が豊かになると思います。
ただ、他の方も書いていたように、＋αという気持ちで
手にとった方がいいかも知れないですね。この本だけで
そう簡単にベラベラにはなれないと思います。

とはいえ、英語嫌いな人には、見た目もかわいらしくて、
いいきっかけになると思います。（慎吾ファンならなおさらね）
気にかかるのは、必死で覚えても、相手に通じる発音が
身に付く保証はないと言うこと…。
テレビの方も録画して、『音声』を補うことをお勧めします。
英語は「言葉」、聞いて声を出してなんぼ、ですからね！

英語のフレーズが自然に頭に浮かんでくるようになるよ。
もちろん本にのってるシチュエーションだけだけど、「英語がわかる！」みたいな気持ちになれてすっごく気持ちいい！
友達と話してるときに「It can't be!」なんていってみたりね。意味わかってくれないとさみしいけど…

批判も多いけど、話すときに文法考えてる人なんていないんだし、こうゆう丸暗記は英会話には必要だよ。とてもいい本です

知人に頼まれ、一通り見てみました。　薄い新書サイズで、各ページが確か４つか５つのマスに区切ってあり、見開き左のページのマスには簡単な状況説明とそこで言う一言、右ページのマスにはそれに対応する英語フレーズ（カタカナ読みつき）とその下に小さな活字で簡単な補足が書いてあります。　せっかくの状況説明もあまり生かされておらず、結局はその後の日本語と英語のフレーズを対訳みたいに丸暗記することが目的のようです。　

それで気になったのが、収録フレーズには、とてもくだけた表現が多いことです。　例えば、「Give me a big helping」など、相手を間違えると、「何様のつもりだ！」と怒られそうな英語が結構ありました。　また、フレーズ（状況）の収録順番も全くのランダムで効率的な覚え方ではありません。

さらに、がんばって丸暗記したとしても、活字のみで、実際の音声を聞かず、自己流カタカナ発音なので、実際の会話では、聴き取れない、通じにくいとなり、苦労した割には役に立たないかもしれません。

まとめると、単なる丸暗記フレーズ寄せ集め本で、ただそれだけです。　タレント本としての価値はともかく、英会話本としては、収録フレーズの偏り、収録数が少ないこと以上に、その解説が詳しくなく、ＣＤ等も付いていないためお薦めではありません。　この本と似た趣向の英会話本はたくさんありますので、初心者の方は、ＣＤ付きテキストを選んだほうが良いと思います。
