うさこちゃんが、おとうさんと動物園に行く話です。おうむ、しまうま、カンガルー、象、猿、キリン、カメなど、カラフルな動物が次々と出てくるので、飽きさせません。

「とまり木」など、少し難しめの言葉も出てきますが、この「うさこちゃん」シリーズでは最もお勧めのひとつです。

１歳２ヶ月になる娘に見せた途端、笑って喜んでいました。絵が素朴で可愛いし、色使いもはっきりしているので、動物を判断しやすいです。はっきりした色使いと、素朴な絵が娘にうけているようです。本の大きさは、娘が持つのに丁度いい大きさです。ページも捲りやすいです。ですので、暫く経ったたら自分で捲って見ていました。

星が４つなのは、濃い青の上に黒い字が書いてあった個所が読みづらかったので４つにしました。

うさこちゃんファンとして、残念！
この「うさこちゃんとどうぶつえん」に関しては先のコメントにあるように言い回しの点で気になるところがあり、また動物の大きさがすべて同じであるところが残念である。「こぐまちゃんとどうぶつえん」のほうが子どもの視点に立っており、動物の大小がわかり、動物の絵もいきいきしてよろしいかと。
