ヘタれてないマルタにまずびっくり。
そしてあとがきを読んで更にびっくり。
そんな感じの６巻です。

５巻での７年分の時間経過はマルタに相応の変化をもたらします。
けれども、驚くのはマルタの周囲の人間です。
ヘタれてないマルタなんて！　とリッツでなくともびっくりですよね（笑
そんなわけで成長したマルタのかっこよさが目に付く６巻ですが、
そんな彼の変化に戸惑う周囲の様とかいろいろと新鮮な仕上がりです。
いつの間にかリッツに次ぐ苦労性キャラに納まったヘンリーとか（苦笑

……で、内容の方はシリーズものですからそれぐらいにするとして、
あとがきにて作者自ら次が最終巻とのこと。
ええ！？　７巻で終わっちゃうの！？
もうびっくりです。４巻の時以上に次が待ち遠しい、そんな６巻なのでした。

前巻でオスタスに無事帰還したマルタ、
7年も「待て」状態だっただけあって、
開き直ったというか腹をくくったというか大人になったというか。
いきなり急成長したマルタにリッツがちょっと置いてけぼり。
短編や序盤のだらだらしたマルタの雰囲気を期待すると肩すかしを食うかも。

次巻で完結らしく、いよいよ物語も大詰め。
シリアス路線も恋模様もクライマックスです。

マルタ・サギーはついにオスタスに帰還を果たしました。
ヘタレ少年が大人になって、そしていい男に変身して。（体は少年だけどね）
マリアンナさんとのデートの約束もとりつけ、探偵の仕事も復活です。
いい事尽くめな感じですが、なんと恋のライバル登場。そしてデアスミスの影も…

マリアンヌさんもサギーもリッツもその他もろもろの人達も、芯のあるやさしさや強さが備わっていて、
それが垣間見えて励まされる感じに仕上がってます。
次回が最終刊だそうで、恋の行方やカード戦争の謎や陰謀がどのように展開して行くか
この刊で引かれ捲くった伏線がどうなるのか非常に気になるところです。
シリーズが終ってしまうのは残念ですが、次ぎの刊が待ち遠しいです。
