シリーズ物の２巻というのは、案外難しいと思う。
新人の場合は１巻で終わる勢いの話を書くのでその続きを作るのは苦労するし（それこそスレイヤーズといったら！）、ベテランでもやりたい事が変に膨らんで当初とのペースを崩してしまったりもする。
そういう意味ではさじ加減が難しいのが２巻であり、２巻の出来次第でロングシリーズになるか片手で終わるかの分岐になると言えよう。

さてこの「迎撃」も“影マル”シリーズの２巻目。略称は勝手につけてみた。
１巻のイメージを引き継ぎつつ、既存のキャラ（特にヒロイン！）の魅力を増幅させ、その上でまた違う魅力の新キャラを投下する。そこにちゃんと仕掛けを仕込んでおいて…。
ロングシリーズに化けるのを期待したくなる非常に安定性の高い、良い出来である。

正直、個人的に好みの絵師という贔屓目はあるものの、イラストの力も大きい。
今回の目的（と私が勝手に判断した）であるヒロインの魅力アップ！＝ラブ度アップ！の意図を把握しているのだろう、口絵の美しいカラーだけでなくコミカルなちびキャラ風などヒロインは無表情設定ながらも多彩なビジュアルを読者に魅せている。

絵・構成とも今後が楽しみである。
ラブはこのまま毎回ちょっとづつ進めて欲しいね！


それはそれとして…次は黒髪ロングなアジア系美人を！希望！

他のレビュアーさんも言われてるのですが、
ラノベの２巻って結構当たり外れ多いんですよね
そんなことを踏まえるとこの影執事の２巻はなかなかの出来です

内容ですが主要な登場人物が一気に３人も増えます、さすが２巻ｗ
２巻を読もうという時点で１巻をそれなりに楽しめた方でしょうから、
どんな人が増えるのかは読んでみてのお楽しみということで一つ

というわけで紹介する見所は１巻からの登場人物にまつわる部分をば
１巻ではほとんど「マルクが屋敷になじむこと」に費やされてしまった感があり、
正直出番の少なかったエルミナお嬢様なのですが、２巻では彼女が主役です
お屋敷のことや彼女の持つ力のことなど、ググっとエルミナの事情が掘り下げられます

逆を言えば、２巻でようやくメインの登場人物２人の背景が固まるわけです
なので１巻だけ読んで終わりというのは勿体無い！
是非とも２巻の「迎撃」も読んでみてはいかが？
