   本書は実際に経営を行っているオーナー経営者のために財務の本質を述べた本である。最大の特徴は、キャッシュフロー損益計算書を含めた財務諸表を「スコアボード」化することで、実際の経営に役立つツールにしている点にある。「スコアボード」からは1年を通した会社の動きがストーリーのように見えてくるし、財務分析をあわせて紹介することで、数字がより詳しく見えてくる。

   通常、財務に関する本というと、財務諸表の作成法や分析法に議論が集中していることが多いが、本書は架空の会社を立ち上げて会社経営を行いながら財務の本質を説明していくというユニークなアプローチを取っている。一般の経営者が直面するような問題を次々に解決していく様は臨場感にあふれており、財務を毛嫌いしているオーナー経営者に一読することをおすすめしたい。（大田真子）

非常に良いです。基本的な内容を網羅しながら、最終的には実践で役立つであろうツールの紹介をしています。バランスシート、損益計算書、キャッシュフロー計算書のそれぞれの関連を数字のつながりで説明した「財務スコアボード」や、ROAとROE、資産回転率の相関を示した「ROAグラフ」などは、まさに明日から使える実践ツールです。他のレビューアが述べているように、訳に不満はありますが、それなりの基礎知識があれば惑わされることは無いでしょう。原書も読みたくなりました。

今までにB/S,P/L,C/Fを一通り学習はしたが、それらがバラバラな知識となってしまっている方にはもってこいの書籍ですね。各種財務諸表はそれぞれ有機的に繋がっているということを簡潔/明瞭に理解させてくれます。 また元々この著者はIBM幹部を対象としている為、実務的に役立つものとなっています。

訳者の菊田良治氏に惹かれて購入しました。 独特の視点から、立体的・有機的な新財務諸表の繋がりを具体的に解説してあります。 会計事務所の関係者や経理担当の方は必読です。 目から鱗で、貸借対照表、損益計算書、キャッシュフローの関係がわかります。
