近年稀にみる〈繰り返しの鑑賞に堪える〉名作のシナリオブック。
木皿泉さんの前作「すいか」は向田邦子賞を受賞したが、本作もそれに勝るとも劣らぬ素晴らしい出来栄えだ。
一見しただけでは分からない重層的で詩的言語に満ちたこのドラマを骨までしゃぶり尽くしたい（笑）人には必携の一冊に違いない。

本編でカットされたシーンに想いを馳せるのもよし、山下くんのアドリブの凄まじさに驚くのもよし、このドラマを愛するすべての人に読んでもらいたい。
読んでいると今にも「野ブタパワー注入！」の声が聞こえてきそうだ。

とにかく面白い！頭の中でドラマの映像が、そのまま流れてきました。
また、ドラマとこの本を見比べるのもとても面白いです。
修二と彰と野ブタに、もう一度会えたような気がして、とても嬉しくなりました。

DVD-BOXも発売された人気ドラマで、原作とかなり異なる設定・展開で
あったため、ノベライズ版が出るかなと思っていたら、シナリオそのものが
単行本化された。
改めて読み返すと、原作以上に緻密に構成された脚本は小説として読ん
でも充分読み応えがある。
ドラマを見ていた人は改めて記憶を甦らせ、見ていない人も笑って泣ける
青春小説として、読んでおいて損のない１冊です。
