　８０年代、いや７０年代もそうだったかもしれないが、横浜・本牧の子供たちにとって、映画を見に行くことはイコール「小松政夫を見に行く」ことだった。なぜなら、本牧の子供たちが映画を見に行く関内・馬車道周辺では、映画本編の上映前に必ず「小松政夫の横浜トヨペットのＣＭ」が流れていたからだ。「ハイ、またお会いしましたねぇ」と淀川先生のモノマネから始まって、「僕、小松政夫はここ横浜トヨペットのトップセールスマンだったんですよ！」とセリフが入ると同時にノルマ表が映り、「一番短い小松さんの棒グラフ」がアップに。そこで「どーして、どーして」の名ギャグが入ってプロローグ終了。後は横浜トヨペットの宣伝がつつがなく進むというものだった。映画の話題になった時、僕らの合い言葉は映画の内容ではなく「小松政夫見た？」であったし、正直映画の内容は忘れてしまっても小松さんのＣＭは忘れなかった。

　本書はその「横浜トヨペットのセールスマン時代」をベースにした自伝的小説。かなり破天荒な面白い内容で、でも脚色したとも思えないほどよく書けている。笑わせて、泣かせて、心を温めてくれる素晴らしい小説。でも、あとがきを読むまで全くの自伝かと思っていた。それぐらい、出てくる人物や出来事がリアルで、誇張した感じがしない。「昭和はよかった」というノスタルジーではなく、人と人との密な関係、人の優しさや度量とは何か、などをかみしめて読める。とはいえ重たくはない。ビックリするほどさらっと読めること請け合い、だ。

　「ハケンの品格」で小松政夫健在を確認できた。「エニシング・ゴーズ」のＤＶＤも面白かった。小松さん、これからもどんどん僕らを笑わせてください。植木さんが逝去された今、芸人としても俳優としても江戸前の味をさらっと粋に出してくれるのは、弟子の小松さんの役目でしょう？小松さんのますますのご活躍を祈りつつ、この本をたくさんの方が読んでくれることを希望します。最後に、また横浜トヨペットのＣＭやってくださいね、親分さん。

ネタばれになりますので詳しくは書きませんが、父親の衝撃的な別れから、やさしい人々まで。
昭和のよき時代と、がんばる日本人のお話。
読むべし！

数々の、名言？を残している、小松政夫さん。　そこまで来るまでの、人生論が、やさしく書かれていて、とても読みやすく　小松さんの、暖かさが伝わってくる本だと思いました。実際に、舞台に観に行きたいと思います。　後半編も出版してほしいなぁ。
