ほんと、それがちょっと知りたいですけどね。
ただ、全く麻雀を知らなくとも、西原フアンなら、それはそれで、おもしろがることは請け合いかな。何せ、西原の生活のほとんどを占めている（？！）、麻雀をはじめとするギャンブルとギャンブラーが総出演なんだから。
これは、もう西原フアンとしては、是非とも知りたいところですわなぁ。

麻雀をよく知っている優しい男性と、麻雀覚えかけ（ちょっと覚えてみようかな）で、よくいじめられている女性には、うけると思います。うけ方が違うだろうけど。
麻雀に割にまじめな男性。真剣に打ってますぅ、のヒトは、きっと怒り狂いかな。

しかし、西原はけなげでかわいく、でもってすぐいい気になって、弱気をくじく、ほんと、おもしろいヒトだなぁ。
これだけシンプルな線画（下手だけという人がいますが）で、これだけ表情豊かに書くのも、ほんとすごいと思うね。

この作品に登場する西原さんはとても可愛くておもしろいです。
麻雀をやったことがある人なら、きっと覚えていると思うのですが・・、例えば符計算ができなかったり、とかテンパッても待ちが分からないなど。
こういった人に言えない初心者の心細さを正直に、しかも大胆にギャグにしています。いや~、立派ですね。

役を覚えるのも、役満から覚えて、タンヤオを知らなかったなど。良くありがちですね。ロンを間違えて「ポン」と言ったり。
それに加えて、「役満だ~んす」を踊り始めます。最初は、役満の時（ＴＶゲームだったりしますが）に踊るのですが、いつのまにか何かにつけて踊り始めるようになります。
これが、可愛いですね。

このころの西原さんは、初々しくていいですね。
麻雀好きな人には勿論、ギャグ漫画をお探しの人にもお薦めです。

西原せんせの破天荒な方の漫画家としての成長過程が良く分かる本です。最初は、絵は純粋に(どこが美大出なんだ、他の出身者や、在学中の学生、入りたくても入れなかった人たちに申し訳ないと思わないのかっていうくらい)下手だし、お話も麻雀が分からないと笑えません。しかし、話が進むにつれて、絵はどんどん洗練された下手な絵になっていき、お話も麻雀を知らなくても笑える内容になります。

買って損はしないです。万引きはやめましょうね。
