受験者にとりましては、難しいことが平易に書かれていますので、読み物として取り掛かりに役立ちます。Ｑ＆Ａで簡潔にまとめてあり、登録販売者がお客様にお答えするツールになります。薬剤師にとりましては、専門用語を一般向けの言葉に翻訳するとこうなるのか、という発見にもつながります。厚生労働省の手引きから、登録販売者の都道府県の試験の出題ポイントはまんべんなく押さえられています。特に、成分名と代表的な商品がリンクしてありますので、現物と見比べながら読むとより理解が深まります。基礎から応用まで、肩肘はらずに書かれたこの本は受験者から薬剤師まで必見の本です。字の大きさ、イラストの入れ方まで、細部に渡り工夫がほどこされています。

まず出題の傾向を吟味していない。第2章の副作用は記述が少なすぎる
自己満足の為に買うのはいいが、嘘の記述もあるし（ヘモグロビン）
ある程度学力のある人は見ない方がいい。むしろ混乱する。
筆者の趣味で出版している面が色濃く出ている。私は買って損したと思っている。

試験範囲から、踏み込んだ内容まで掲載されている。現場で使える実践的な内容が盛り込まれている。イラストつきなのも、Q&A式なのも読みやすい。試験に合格することがゴールなら、他の問題集でも優劣つけがたいが、これは登録販売者として持っておきたい一冊。強いて難を言えば、少し誤字がある。だが、改訂版が出たらまた買いたいと思わせる本。
