　表紙に「社会人のための再入門」とあった。本書のコンセプトを一言で表せば、まさにこういうことなのだと思う。

　「数と式」「集合」「2次関数」「方程式と不等式」「指数・対数」「三角関数」「数列」「微分・積分」「図形と方程式」「ベクトル」「確率・統計」に各1章を割り当てた、全11章構成。

　表紙に書かれている「数学の基本をひととおりやさしく、ビジュアルに解説」は事実だと思う。練習問題は用意されていない。

　数学的世界は見えてこないが、学校で習うことのポイントは簡潔に書いてある。試験を受けなくてもよい人のための試験直前総まとめ集みたいな趣。数学的世界が見えてくるとか見えてこないとかそんなことどうでもよいではないかと思えば、確かにこれで充分なのかもなと思う。

すぐに大学受験に役立つわけではありません。社会人として高校数学を勉強し直す必要にかられたとき、いま必要と思われる高校数学のすべてついて、わかりやすく図を多用して書かれてあります。特色として教科「情報」で習うことがらを少し意識しているようです。１０個以上あるコラムを見ると良くわかります。
著者は県立高校で「数学」はもちろん「情報」も教えていて、さらにWeb ページでも数学に関する興味ある事柄を多く発信している方です。
カラー２色刷りで、コンパクトで読みやすい本です。すべての日本人が 、ここに書かれてある数学の考え方が身についていれば、この国の技術大国としての未来も、もう少し明るいと思うのですが、、、。

陸上無線技術士を取得するため、対数や関数を復習する必要があり、購入しました。
そのための学習には十分だと思いますが、深く理解するには物足りないかも知れません。
