このライターさん、全く同い年(笑)
よって小田さん(オフコース)を聴くようになった経過も年代もほぼ同じでいきなり親近感をおぼえた。

正直、前半の章ではファンの小田さん讃歌に終始してしまう心配をしてしまったがデータ的にもしっかりしている。
僕もアマチュアのシンガーソングライターやってて小田さんとオフコースの曲の何処に惹かれるのか、自分はアマなりにもどんな表現したらいいのか。とかミュージシャンはどうあるべきか。を考えさせてくれ答えをこの本の中に見つけた。

ライターさん書いてるとおりミュージシャンである前に人格が一番大切、ここに共感できただけでもこの本の値打ちは高いと思った。
でもこれ単行本ではなくもうちょっと安価な新書で良かったかな?(笑)
そこで星4個にしました。ごめんなさいね。

実は小田さんのことはあまりよく知らなったのですが、著者の他の本が気にいったので、この本も買ってみました。
小田さんの歌はＣＭやドラマなどで流れてくるのを聞く程度でコンサートも行ったことがない私ですが、グングンのめりこむように読めました。
小田さんの言ったことやしたことや、考えていることなど、手に取るように解かりました。
小田さんの素晴らしい人間性が本当によく理解できました。
著者のフィルターを通した小田さんのはずなのに、リアルでピュアな小田さんがきちんと頭に入ってきます。
きっとそれは著者が小田さんに敬意をはらい、小田さんをこよなく愛しているからだと思います。
読み終えて、小田さんのコンサートに行ってみたいなあと思いました。そして小田さんって素敵な人なんだと思いました。
満点の評価をつけたのは、ファンではなかった私をファンにしてしまうくらいの力を持った本だからです。

有名な小田和正の著作やノンフィクションを読み，そこに筆者の「思い」を結びつけている．なので，語尾に「〜思う」が異常に多い．
問題は，その「思い」が，非常に我田引水なので，内容が浅くなってしまっている事である．残念ながら筆者はリアルタイムで「オフコースの小田和正」にあまり接していないようで，さらにご自分の小田さんへの愛情が深いと思い込んでいるがゆえに事実を見誤り，引用の解釈をしばしば間違っている．それはもはや「小田和正」からかけ離れている．

この本は小田和正ファンにどういう人間がいるのかという一例を表していると言う意味ではノンフィクション作品だが，小田和正その人を説明する本としてはフィクションである．
小田和正本人も受け入れられないと「思う」．
