デビット・ライアンがマーケットの魔術師の241ページで推薦していますし、成功したホームトレーダーのゲイリー・スミスが著書の中で、自分が最も影響を受けた本として推薦しています。
これが日本語で読めるなんて嬉しいです。
「トレーダーの行動を決めるのはマーケットであって、トレーダー自身の意見ではない」というのは非常に素晴らしい考えたと思いました。
１９５０年代で２００万ドル稼いだというのは、驚異的なスコアだと思います。
現代の貨幣価値におきかえると、かなりの金額のはずです。
やはり成功する人は言うことが違うなと思いました。

本書は著者の売買履歴が詳細に記されている。最初は偶然買った株での大儲けに始まり、情報を求めて、損の売買を繰り返し、今度は自分でファンダメンタルの研究をして自信満々で望むが、大きく損をしてしまう。結局、売買のコツをつかむのは、仕事で海外に居たとき、株価と出来高のみの電報で売買をした時であった。これは余計な市場の情報を排し、値動きと出来高のみの情報で、いわゆる変動感覚をつかんだと言うことであろうか。著者が大成功を収めたボックス売買もこの変動感覚によるものと思われる。

彼は最後テクノファンダメンタルズに傾倒し、結果的に落ちぶれて
行方不明になった。

光と闇に焦点を当てた名著なのに、最後の姿まで描かなかったのは残念。
成功に成功を収めた彼の最後の姿は多くの投資家にとって重要な教訓に
なるはずだからだ。
