ＬＴＣＭの栄光から挫折までが、わかりやすいマンガになりました。この事件を振り返ると本当に感慨深いものがあります。なにはともあれ、流動性や透明性は大事ですね。マンガとしてもなかなか面白いです。興味をもったら、ＬＴＣＭ伝説や天才達の誤算を読んでみるのもオススメです。ＬＴＣＭの事件に関してより詳しく書かれています。

超一流のマネージャーを迎え、
莫大な資金を集めて、緻密な計算のうえで組まれる
ポートフォリオ。

それがある時、突然崩壊していく。一体何がまずかったのだろう？

あまりにも巨大になったファンドのため
流動性が薄い取引にも手を出したりしてそれが問題になったり
損を先に切れないなど、

私たち一般投資家が犯しやすい失敗が、ここでも起こっていたのである。

思わず感情移入してしまいます。
マンガでさらっと１回目は読めますが
説明文の量も非常に多く金融の知識を身につけるのに最適です

LTCM（Long-Term Capital Management）と言えば、ノーベル経済学賞を受賞した大学教授や伝説的敏腕トレーダーらを擁したヘbジファンドのドリームチーム。設立から当初数年間は年平均40％ものリターンを叩き出し名声を得ていたが、東南アジアやロシアでの相次ぐ通貨危機の煽りを受けて98年に破綻したことはつとに有名。LTCMの興隆から破綻までを綴った書としては、これまでにも「天才たちの誤算―ドキュメントLTCM破綻」や「LTCM伝説―怪物ヘッジファンドの栄光と挫折」等があったが、これらのエッセンスを一冊にまとめたのが本書。人間ドラマの描写も秀逸だが、読書の流れを妨げないよう、難解な部分はあえて端折って基本事項のみに留めているあたり心憎い。マンガだけあって一連の顛末をサラッと俯瞰するのに最適。本件に更に興味を持ったら、前述の2冊を読むと理解が更に深まること必至。

余談だが、本書37ページのメリウェザーの台詞（「汚名」を「挽回」するチャンスが欲しい）の誤用は、図らずもその後の運命を暗示しており何とも意味深。本書が売れて版を重ねても、是非修正せずに残して欲しいものだ(汗)。
