ウェブ関係のプロジェクトはスケールと複雑さで年々高度化している。しかし、そのマネジメントは大きく進化したとはあまり聞かない。
一方、企業情報システムではPMBOKやPMO（プロジェクトマネジメントオフィス）など米国で練られた手法が日本でも導入されてきた。
評者は両方の経験があるが、どちらも不確定要素や問題が色々と発生する。しかし、そのマネジメント手法には雲泥の差があるのも現実だ。これは、顧客側にも原因があるのだが、それに対処するウェブ･インテグレーター側の未熟さも改善の余地は大きい。

本書は、日本で類書をみない、ウェブサイト構築についての科学的プロジェクトマネジメント指南書である。しかし、ウェブ・プロジェクト対象ということで、 PMBOKといってもエンタープライズ・アプリケーションのような難しい書き方はされていない。入門書的なやさしさと、議事録までも含むテンプレート集も記された実践書的な役立ち性を両立したものだ。

2千円あまりでこうした学びが得られるのは対価としては適切以上だろう。もっとも、活かすのは読者次第。

200ページ足らずで言及できることは限られる。応用については、体制面も含め工夫が求められる。しかし、第一歩としては十分な内容と考える。

これからのWeb業界の、いやWebのみならずコンテンツ制作業界のあるべき姿が詰まった1冊と言えるでしょう。

PMBOKの説明は(もちろん「広く浅く」ではありますが)明快かつ平易で読みやすいと思います。
テンプレートも、例えばこれから独立するクリエイターやスタートアップ間もない企業に不足しがちな、
この類のノウハウを埋めるには、十二分な内容ではないでしょうか。
巻末の対談も、実感に満ち溢れていて興味深かったです。

私としては、制作現場の理不尽で非効率な所謂「ギョーカイ慣習」に疑問を持ち始めた人にオススメしたい本ですね。
そうした問題意識を持ちながら読み進めれば、必ずヒントが見つかる“本物の”実践法が書かれた1冊だと思います。

入門者にはちょっと難しいかな〜と思う。
これからの人というよりも、現在進行形の人たち向けの内容のように感じる。
実体験と並行して読んでいるとすごくためになりそうだ。

実際この書籍にあるような流れで仕事ができている人は
そう多くないのではないだろうか。目指すべきところであることはよーくわかるんだが・・・。
