本書は、「オブジェクト指向について」のまさに入門書。
新人の技術者や、あまり勉強する時間がとれずにJavaで
開発をしている技術者にお勧めできる。
本書を読んだあと、各トピックの関連に注意しながら
他の専門書を読むと、最低限の努力でオブジェクト指向周辺の
技術が理解できるだろう。

この本は、あくまでもオブジェクト指向を中心にしながら、
初学者向けの文脈をうまく作り上げている。
他のオブジェクト指向の本だと、特定の言語と結びついていたり、
あるいは数学的な概念が入ってきて、初心者にはあまり
お勧めできなかった。

オブジェクト指向という考え方は、システムを開発する上で
「人間が世界を理解するやり方を素直にシステムに取り込もう」
という方針から生まれている。
だから、特定の言語と結びついてしまうと、その言語特有の
「縛り」にとらわれてしまって、本来のオブジェクト指向で
できることを狭めてしまうことがある。
また、数学的な理論展開は魅力的ではあるが、
初心者はまず、全体像をつかむべきであり、
数学的厳密さは重要ではない。

星が４つなのは、参考文献が無いから。
セミナーの録音を元に原稿を起こしているので仕方ない面もあるが、
勉強を促進するためにも参考文献を載せて欲しかった。

この本だけで、内容が理解できるなら、それは
セミナーよりも安くつくけど、初学者には難しいだろう。

はじめてオブジェクト指向を学ぶ初学者は
やっぱり、誰かに直接教えてもらった方がいい。

　　つまずいているのがどこなのか指摘してもらわないと
　　なかなか、入っていけない世界だから。

この本は、教える側に立つ人のヒントになるし、
整理するためにはすごく役立つと思う。

後輩が入ってきて、OJTでオブジェクト指向を教えるようなら
最適だと思う。

株式会社豆蔵のセミナーを文書化した本。内容は非常にわかりやすくまとまっている。
ソフトウェアエンジニアでオブジェクト指向の理解が不足していると思われている方にお勧めの本である。

オブジェクト指向の概念、モデリングの方法（概要）、オブジェクト指向でのシステム開発方法などを理解することができる。
