本文の文字は小さすぎると思いますが、適当な行間と写真も入るので安定感があり、読んだときのバランスはいいです。また、ページ上部を線で区切り、本文の解説を補足したり要点をまとめるなど、初心者の理解を助ける工夫もされています。レイアウトがよく、とても読みやすい本です。
まずは写真を撮ってカメラに親しもう！　という軽い調子で写真の撮り方を簡単に解説し、そのあと、「ブレのないシャープな写真」や「背景のぼかし方」、「光の当たり方」などを解説することで、思いどおりの写真を撮ることができるようになる、という寸法です。まるで教科書のように段階的にステップアップしていきますので、マニュアルを一通り読んだ方が、次の一歩を踏み出すためのテキストとして最適だと思いました。
基本のテクニックを学んだら、「撮影のスパイス」でちょっと高度なテクニックを勉強し、あとは実戦経験を積む、という感じでしょうか。惜しむらくは紹介されている事例が少ないので、もう少し事例（撮影のレシピ）を増やして欲しいと思いました。

星一つ減とした理由は、高価な価格設定です。
本自体も薄く、内容と価格のバランスは悪いです。今のままでは「感動写真」を撮るにはほど遠いので、ロケーション別、被写体別のもっと幅広いレシピ集を追加するなど、初心者が着実にステップアップするために、もう一工夫あれば最高でした。

先日初めてデジタル一眼レフカメラを購入し、様々なデジタル一眼の本を買いました。
この本もその中の1冊でしたが、読みやすさが群を抜いていると思います。

基本的な撮影方法の網羅はもちろんですが、1つの同じ画像に対して、設定を変えた画像を複数用意して、視覚的変化を初心者にもわかりやすく書かれていたりします。
構図や絞りにしても、非常に参考になります。

暇なとき、ついついこの本を手にとって読んでしまうほど、魅力がこの本にはあります。

初めてデジタル一眼レフカメラを購入の方、もしくは買ったけど思うような写真が撮れないという方に、是非お勧めします。

数名のプロの方がシチュエーションごとに普段気を使われていることなどが書かれていてとても参考になります。
露出やホワイトバランスといった細かいテクニック一辺倒ではなくて、例えば子どもやペットを撮るときの心構えというかちょっとしたコツなんかも丁寧に書かれています。

読んでいるとカメラを持って出かけたくなる、そんな一冊です。
