好きなことを仕事にしていたらどんなに幸せだろう
とよく思いますが、多くの人は、見つけようとして
見つけられず、あきらめてしまいます。
「ライフワーク」をどうしたら見つけられるか
「ライフワーク」を生きるにはなにが必要かといった
ノウハウが実践的に書かれています。
私にとってはライフワークを絞り込む方法が最も
興味がありますが、「ローマは１日にしてならず」
すぐに結論がでるわけでなく毎日、好きなことに
時間をかける必要があると感じました。

「幸せな小金持ち」というテーマに関して、「幸せな小金持ちへの8つのステップ」にて言及した「自分の好きなことを仕事にする」という部分を膨らませて「ライフワーク」というキーワードにスポットを当てている。「ライフワークとは何か？」（特定の仕事ではなく「自分らしい生き方そのもの」）を種々の断面より描写して明確にしていくプロセスで、併せて「何がライフワークではないか？（ライフワークとは呼べないか？）」「ライフワークに関する６つの誤解」「ライフワークを生きられない７つの理由」等々を様々な例を用いて描写している。本書を読んだ後に、ライフワークが何で、自分のやりたいこと、自分らしさ、というのは何なのか？等々に関する明確な指針が得られるというところまでは期待できないだろうが、少なくとも、自分自身に向き合うと共に、無意識のうちに自らに課している呪縛から心を解き放つ為の種々の材料を提供してくれる。

本田氏の本が大好きで
今まで何冊も読んできましたが、
その中では、本書はいまいちでした。

その理由として、
・自分の大好きなことを仕事にするというライフワークを見つけるきっかけを、
　本書でいくつも紹介していますが、どれもピンとこなかった。
・他の本に見られるような読者をぐっと引き付ける文章力があまり感じられなかった。
　同じことが何度も書かれているような気がした。
・今までの本が素晴らしくていつのまにか本田氏の本に対するハードルが上がっていた。

そうはいっても、内容はやはりいい事が書かれていますので、
一読の価値は充分あると思います。
私は本書から、一番影響を受けたのは、
シンクロシティ（人生で起こる不思議な偶然）を味方にするために
常にアンテナを貼って、その偶然に全力投球するという習慣をぜひ身に付けたいということです。
