　今司法書士の試験勉強中ですが、毎日この辞典を活用しながら勉強しています。私は専門学校などに通学しておらずパソコン上でソフトを使って勉強していますので、わからない用語などが出てきたときに困ることがよくありましたが、この辞典を購入してからはすぐに調べることができて大変効率が良いです。知りたいと思った単語はほぼ記載されていました。不満はありませんが、法律の勉強に関してはまだまだ初心者ですので、他の辞典等と比較しておりませんので、これがベストかどうかはわかりません。

この種の辞書としては、末川先生編の民事法学事典上・下や木村亀先生の刑法事典などが古典的な名著ですが、この金子先生編の法律学小辞典も名著です。法律学のほぼ全分野の専門用語を解説してくれています。法学部の一年生などはまずこれを手にするべきです。なぜなら法律学の各分野の教科書・概説書というのは最近は目次が充実していますが索引は大雑把なものが多いからです。各法分野の体系書を揃えて百科事典のようにして専門用語を調べるのも勉強としてはいいかもしれませんが効率が悪い。この点この辞典は各法分野にまたがる専門用語をわかりやすく説明してくれています。ハンデイなのもこの小辞典の魅力です。

4.0 out of 5 stars 簡にして要を得る。ただ、新しい会社法に対応して欲しい, 2008/5/8
　法律関係の勉強をしていると、制度の細かい論点に迷い込み、時間と労力を使って読み込んだ割には、頭に入らない〜全体像がつかめないということが多い。この辞典を使えば、「制度のキモ＝要点を簡潔に表現すると、こういうことだったのか、、」ということがわかる。この辞典の簡潔かつ要を得た記述を知識の骨格として、あとは必要なレベルに応じて基本書などから肉をつけていくという勉強法がいいのではないか。
　ただし、最近、ビジネス関係に必要な商法・会社法が大改正されたので、すみやかに対応して欲しい。
