一家で田舎に引っ越した著者の生活体験記を中心に書かれており、
それに加えあちこちから取材した自然暮らしの知恵も紹介されている。
移住の仕方から始まり、著者夫婦が住む古民家の修繕方法、
野菜・穀物の在来種の入手方法、味噌・醤油などの食品加工の仕方、
薬草茶の入れ方、山林の手入れの仕方などなど、

内容も非常に幅広く、読んでいるだけでわくわくしてくる。

分野ごとに必ず参考文献や、関連施設の連絡先が掲載されているので、
情報源としても大いに活用できる。
「自然の中での暮らしに興味があるけど、情報がない」
という方にもおすすめ。

自給農業を目指す人の参考書です。自然の暮らしをするための情報満載です！例えば、幾つかの汚水処理方法またミツバチ飼う為の道具入手方法etc...自然的暮らしの情報を得るならおすすめです

以前に借りて読んだ事がありましたが、結局買うことにしました。
なぜかというと、参考文献や自然の暮らしに関する各種団体・グループの連絡先などがあり、手元に置いておきたいと思ったからです。まだこれから自然の暮らしをしてみたい方や漠然と夢見ている方（自分もそうですが）でも読んでいてわくわくするような創りになっています。循環型社会ってこういうものなのだなあって思えます。
