日本では、さくらももこさんの『あこがれの魔法使い』という本で紹介され、知名度が上がったル・カインですが、画集が出ていることは意外にもあまり知られていません。

ル・カインは本当に絵に多才で、東洋風の絵から西洋風の絵まで、高い完成度で仕上げてしまいます（中には日本風の絵も！！）。また彼は、絵本作家だけでなく、アニメーション作家としても活躍していたので、そのことについても載っています。

ル・カインの絵はもちろん、彼の細かい経歴、著作目録など盛りだくさんの本ですので、ファンは絶対に買いでしょう！また、ル・カインに興味はあるけれども、絵本を集めると高くつくし・・・と思っている方、とりあえずこの画集を買ってみてください。きっと彼の魔術にかかるでしょう。

『寝る前に読みたい本』とのおすすめワードにひかれ、手に取ったんですが、まさにその通りだった！！！
寝る前に読んだら、素敵な夢が見れそうなエロール・ル・カインの作品集『イメージの魔術師　エロール・ル・カイン』★
絵本画家で、アニメーターでもあるエロール・ル・カインの独立した、幻想的な世界。
素敵な色合いの絵達にドキドキ。猫の絵とか、超かわいかった。
今６歳の従兄弟にこの本をプレゼントしようか、彼の挿絵の絵本をプレゼントしようか検討中。

彼の絵のカレンダーを見つけ、エロール・ル・カインを知りました。
見ていると、引き込まれていく絵の数々。思わず絵本を一冊ずつ揃えてみたくなりました。
