4.0 out of 5 stars 粘菌に興味を持っていて本が欲しいならいいかも, 2004/9/7
キノコに関する本というのは図鑑から写真集までかなり多くの本が出ているのに対し、粘菌というのはそんなに注目を浴びていないと思う。

この本の特筆すべきは載っている写真が素晴らしい事。
欲を言えばもう少し１ページに大きく載せて欲しい気もするが、全体的に粘菌の特性を捉えて撮影されているのが良い。

ただ分類する為にアップで写すだけでなく、どんな所に粘菌がいるのが背景の様子が分かったり、変形体の移動の様子など時間の経過と共に変わる姿を収めているのが嬉しい。

さらに図鑑としてだけではなく、用語の解説、粘菌の生態や収集・飼育方法など粘菌に興味を持った人が手にするにはもってこいの内容となっている。

ただ、やはり値段の高価さは辛いものがあるが…
だけどそれだけ中身は充実しているが、やっぱり高い。
それを考えると本当は☆３つ半くらいなのだが、内容の充実具合、他にあまり粘菌を取り扱った本が少ないという事を考慮して４つという事にした。

日本は図鑑大国でもあるが、粘菌の図鑑や本は極端に少ない。その中で、この本は秀逸である。内容や図表の写真の精度の高さ、なんといっても「粘菌」というマイナーな生物の図鑑であるということを鑑みれば、この図鑑の値段は決して高くはない。

図版が多数で見るだけでも良いです。解説も良いです。さすがに事典を多数出版しているだけにＯＫです。
