私が小さかった頃に母が買い与えてくれました。料理が好きで、外国に行きたいな、なんて言っていた私にぴったりだったのでしょう。ほんとに数え切れないぐらい読んで、いまじゃボロボロだけど、宝物。

お話の中の料理が再現できるなんて、夢みたいじゃないですか？昔は手に入りにくい材料が多くて「作りたくても作れない」状態、ほんとに夢で終わってしまったことが多かったけど、最近では割と簡単に買えるようになりましたし。この書籍の実用性もあがったんじゃないかしら。

おすすめレシピは、レモンスフレ。これまでに見たどの本よりも作り方が簡単なのに、結構うまくふくらみました（当時小学生の私でも！！）。

子供の頃、図書館で見つけて夢中になった本でした。
メアリー・ポピンズの不思議な魅力と、おいしそうなお料理が楽しめます。
良いトコ取りの1冊です。

イギリス食べ物はまずい！！なんてよくある話も、自分でこの本の料理を
作れば疑問に思うはず。
お話の中の料理を食べれば、気分は桜並木通り１７番地です。
意外に簡単に作れるのもうれしいところです。

欲を言えば写真も欲しいな、なんて思いますが、素敵なイラストが
あるのでこの方がメアリーの世界に入りこめるかな、とも思っています。

お料理本ではないのに、まともな料理本だった。おいしい。簡単。オーブンさえあれば、入れっぱなしの料理ばっかり。イギリス料理って期待していなかったんだけど、おいしいし楽しい。ストーリーを読んでから作ると楽しさ倍増。お話の中でも登場人物が軽いノリで作っているので、簡単そうに感じられて、なおよいかんじ。
