「ボビー流」、「バレンタインの勝ち語録」に続き、自分が購入したバレンタイン監督の著書は本書で三冊目になりました。

バレンタイン監督の著書は、どの本を読んでも「野球を愛している全ての人達」に対する愛と励ましの言葉に満ちています。

何度も何度も自分の心に刻み込むような気持ちで本書を読み返してみてください。

知らず知らずのうちに勇気づけられ、野球以外のことに対しても積極的になっている自分に気づくはずです。

「日本式の厳しい練習によって高校生の時代に鍛えぬかれ、基本を叩き込まれた日本の選手たちが、

バレンタイン監督の下で野球を楽しみながら高校生の時代に身につけた技量を最大限に発揮する」

日本式と米国式の見事な融和の成果が千葉ロッテの強さであり、

世界を制したWBC日本代表の強さの源泉だと思います。

バレンタイン監督本当にありがとうございました。

一人でも多くの日本の皆さんが本書御読みになられることを願います。

バレンタイン監督は、表情がものすごーく素敵だと思います。
あの笑顔と真顔で励まされたら、
何だってできるかもしれない。

そういう私の好みからすれば、格言集という形ではなく、
写真をメインにして欲しかったです。
（へんにでっかいフォントの日本語に少し違和感を感じる）
言葉と写真と語りとが、寄せ集めレベルで終っているのが残念。
もちろん、言葉も素晴らしいのですが。

昨年末にこの手の本がいっぱい出てきたのに、今頃になって、何故出版するの？　という感じがします。ネタも変わってませんし。昨年末にボビー本を読んだ方は、もう買う必要はないと思いますよ。ついでに、今シーズン、マリーンズはスタートダッシュに失敗していますし。
