シンプルなカードケースや財布の作り方や、カービングやスタンピングロウケツ染めの方法まで網羅されてて、かなり幅広く紹介されています。
カラー写真が多く見やすいです。
レザークラフト関係の本を何冊か見ましたが、この本がこれからレザークラフトを初めてみようと思っている初心者の方に最適だと思いました。

革裁ちから手縫い、かがりはもちろんのこと、カービング、スタンピング、染色、ロウケツ染め、箔を貼るなど、多彩な革クラフトの楽しみ方がぎゅっと詰まっています。また小物類の型紙がついていて、財布、携帯ケースなど参考になります。革の編み方も載っているので、アクセサリー作りにも一役買います。写真が豊富で手順が分かりやすく、今まで見た中で一番のお勧めです。

最初は誰でも小物から始めるとは思いますが
その目的が自分のバッグを作りたいとか、変わったベルトとか
革のものいれとか、裏打ちされたポケットの多い財布だとか
【複雑】または【大物】にあるなら
おそらく、この本ではすぐものたりない気持ちになると思います。

でも、ちょっとした革小物を作りたい、そして革のことをまだほとんど何も知らない
そういう場合に最初の一冊としてすごくいいと思いました。

染料や道具、革の縁をきれいにする方法や縫う行程が非常によく分かるので
まず何を揃えたらいいか、最小限度から始められます。

革のアクセサリーと道具のケースが作りたかった私には
これ一冊で十分でした。
