「考え抜け」というのは、ホワイトカラーの仕事術を論じた本には必ず出てくるフレーズである。しかし、考え抜いた結果、一定の成果が上がればいいのだが、必ずしもそうはならないというのが自分としての実感であった。本書は、もちろん考え抜くことの必要性を否定するものではないが、考え抜くために必要な道具立てをいろいろ用意してくれる。考え抜かれ、きちんと整理された思考というのは、必ずマトリクスという形にまとめることが出来る。逆に考えれば、きちんと考えようとすれば、考えながらマトリクスを作成していけばいいことになる。思考に漏れやダブりがあれば、作成の過程で自然と整理されてくるものだ。本書には、著者が普段研修等で何万円もの費用を取って教えているものも惜しげもなく含まれているという。その本がこの価格で手に入るのだから、本というのはつくづく得である。

図解を行うメリットをしっかりと明記してくれている。漏れている場所を感じる、全体を俯瞰する、テーブルから切り口を変えてゾーンを作るなどの手法をしっかりと記載されてくれているので、様々なビジネスシーンで利用できると思います。４Sのフレームワークを利用して文を理解する手順も、今までイメージできているようでできていない手法だったので非常に有用だった。頭の中で、POSTIT,フロー図作成できるようになるのがベストなんだけどなぁ。また、フレームワークからの文に対する事象の展開、S,C,Q、Aの流れにたいして、それぞれにツリー化を意識する必要性を改めて感じさせてもらった。もともとはシンプル化、抽象化のテーマで探していて見つかった本でしたが、図解はどちらにも通じる便利で有用なツールだと改めて認識。

　合資会社アイデアクラフトを設立した開米瑞浩氏による仕事への図解の応用方法を解説した一冊。

　情報をマトリックスやロジックツリーを使って読み解き、本質を手に入れることを目的としています。以前、私の仕事場で「マトリックスを使って説明しろ！」と盛んに言われることがあったのですが、それを言い始めた上司はこの本を読んだのかもしれません。確かに図解を使って情報を読み解いていくことは、仕事の中で何が重要なのかを探るのに適していると思います。本書のタイトルには「仕事が10倍速くなる」とありますが、「仕事のツボを押さえる」とでも言ったほうがいいのではないでしょうか。図解により仕事の本質がわかるようになり、副産物として仕事を片付けるのが速くなるということだと思います。著者が言わんとしていることはなんとなくわかるのですが、紹介されているテクニックを使うにはかなりの訓練が必要に思います。本書の「おわりに」に「図解はビジネスのための国語力」とあるのですが、これには同感できます。「読み書き」ができても、そこに書かれている意味がわからなければどうしようもありません。それを補うために「読み書き」と並んで「図解」が必要ということですね。
