　ここに出てくるフェレイローラ村とその周辺の村は、
田舎もド田舎、人口200人、みたいな。唯一の外界と繋がっている道は一本の橋、みたいな。
そんななのに、8カ国の外国人が住んでいる国際村なのです。
　だけど面白いのは、決して「国際色豊かで進んだ村の新しい形」ではなく村人達の生き様。
家族って？シアワセって？生きるって？社会って？国の違い、人種って？みたいなことを、
こともなげに「そうだよなー。」としみじみ感じさせてくれる、
あったかくておおらかで、でも自己主張はする（欧州の人なので）そんな村の生活が、
活き活きと描かれていて、大変しみじみと読ませていただきました。
そんな村人を楽しく観察するように、あったかく見守るように描かれた挿絵も素敵です。
　ちなみに私が好きなのは、酔いどれアウグスチンと、愛犬ピンピです。
ピンピは愛称で、本名はピンピネーロ。
ちっさくて茶色くて、おなかに白いまだらもよう。＠
