書店の棚では、いわゆる美容本のコーナーに並べられるのだろうが、それらとはひとあじもふたあじも違う。容姿が人間の生活にとってどのような意味をもっているかという考察から出発し、生きかたの戦術として「自分の容姿をコントロール」することへと橋わたしされる。美容・コスメ業界のイメージ偏重の訴求手法が大量の「美容難民」を生んでいる、という指摘は実に刺激的だ。難民状態を脱出するには、正しい知識と、かくありたいという意思とをもたなければならない。それが「美の知力」である。ここでいう「美」とは「かわいい」とか「かっこいい」とか「モテる」といった水準の話ではなく、深い自己探求に裏づけられた「美意識」としてイメージされている。

一気に読んでしまいました。
読んでいる間、「そうなの、そうなの♪。」っと何度もうなずいちゃいました。

読み終わったら、なんだか美しくなれた気になっちゃって。
今の自分を見つめなおし、考えさせられました。
でも、それと同時に翌日からの生活にわくわくしてきちゃったんです！！
すごくない??この力！！！

この本、とってもきれいな紅子さんが表紙になっているから、美容の本だと思うでしょ？けど、美容というより、美しく生きるための哲学的な本なのです。だから、男性にも読んで頂きたいって思いました。

忙しい人ほどお勧めです!!
☆☆☆是非読んでみてください☆☆☆

自己満足に終わらない美の追求や活かし方が書かれた本。
「美」を通して自分の生活、人生をコントロールする、美容本というよりは自己啓発本だと思います。
著者が本当に美しいので説得力があるし！
日ごろの忙しさに負けて、ついつい美意識が低くなってしまう人ほど、読んでいてウロコが落ちるのではないでしょうか。
