原題の「Learn to Earn: A Beginner's Guide to the Basics of Investing and Business」がこの本の内
容を十分に言い当てている。銘柄の選び方とか投資方法を期待している人にとっては完全に肩透かし。た
だし、まったく知らない初心者が最初に読む本としてこの本を推奨する。もしくは学校の副読本として最適か
と。
もともとは「ピーター・リンチのすばらしき株式投資―楽しく学んで豊かに生きる」というタイトルで出版されてい
たもので、今回内容はそのままでタイトルや表紙だけ変えて出版したもの。なので「すばらしき〜」を買った人
は改めて買う必要はない（私は買ってしまった！！）。帯にちっちゃく注意書きが書いてあるんだけどわかりづら
い！！
内容は、株式会社と資本主義の歴史、投資対象（有価証券等々）の数々、会社の一生、といったところ。
単純化してしまうと、株式会社という制度と資本主義を礼賛している本とも言えるけど。

帯には小さく記載がありますが、本書は以前に出版された「素晴らしき株式投資」の新装本です。内容は同じ。
よくあるノウハウ本とは違い、株式会社や株式投資の歴史についてページをさいていることが特徴になっています。小手先のテクニックなどについては一切ふれられていません。
株式投資をはじめるにあたっては、理解しておいていい内容だと思います。ただ、これを読んだからといって売買がうまくなったりすることはありませんけど。

日本語版のタイトルのつけかたが色んな意味で酷いのはこのレビューでは無視します。

さらっと読める雰囲気を出しながらも本質的なことに広く触れているあたりはさすがピーター・リンチです。原著のタイトルの通りビジネスと投資の入門手引きとなっております。しかも、かなり良質。翻訳は下手な部類に入ると思います。

最初の文章が「アメリカの中学、高校の教科書には、最も大切な講座が一つ欠けています。」であることからも見当がつくように中学生や高校生が読むには優れた本だと思います。でも、この本を読む日本人って投資家、しかも冷静で勉強熱心な部類の人が中心ではなかろうか？そのような人にとってはあまり得るものはないでしょう。「Beginner's Guide」なので。
