この本をには、いくつか本当に心が震えるような個所があります。
読んでいてとてもリラックスした気持ちになることができます。

私は本来、こういった癒しを謳った本には胡散臭さをもっていたのですが、

たまたまこの本の中の写真を撮影している人物が、エリカレナードという、雑誌ヴォーグでも仕事をしている、名前を知っていた写真家だったこともあり先入観を捨てて購入してみました。

仕事やしなければならないことに囲まれて、自分が疲れていることにすら気付いていない方に是非手にとって頂きたい本です。

読んで、ほっとした気持ちになれると思います。そして、優しい気持ちに。

5.0 out of 5 stars 「何もしない」の方法。, 2003/6/29
気忙しい毎日の中で、ふと「何もしないで少し休もう・・・」と思うことがあります。それなのに、いざ休みを取るとなると「どうやって時間を過ごしたらいいのか分からない」、「ついつい家の掃除をしてしまう」。挙句の果てには「やっぱり時間がもったいない」。ところが、この本は、『何もしない』ということに対する考え、そして『時間』という概念を根底から覆してくれました。ちょっとした意識の変化で、私たちは極上の贅沢（リラクゼーション）を味わえるのかもしれません。禅からの引用が多かったことも個人的には嬉しかったです。セピアカラーの美しい写真との融合もまた、新鮮かつ心穏やかにさせてくれます。

せっかくの休日も
「掃除しなければ･･･」「洗濯物たまってるし･･･」
または、「しっかり休養しなければ･･･」。
こんな【すべきこと】が次から次へと頭に浮かんできませんか？
仕事では優秀なその才能も、
プライベートではどうでしょう。

それはプレッシャーになって、結局の所、心が休まりません。
そんな『上手に休めない人たちへ』

この本を片手に、
ゆっくりとお気に入りの場所で、
眺めるように字を追うことが、
上手に休めるコツかもしれません。
