表題作は、一生に一度だけのサービスデーだというのに、私利私欲に走ることなく主人公がイイ人過ぎ。。
もっとブラックでも良かったかも。
ブラックな｢東京しあわせクラブ｣は、他の短編集で既読だったので再読。
この作品の方が、朱川さんらしいかも。
｢あおぞら怪談｣が、この本の中では一番面白かった。
ラストもいい感じ。
｢気合入門｣は、作者の子供時代の体験が反映された作品でしょうか。
この作品集、さっくり読めますが、さっくり過ぎて、ちょっと物足りないのが残念。

4.0 out of 5 stars シリアスネタも上手に料理、楽しい小説です, 2009/2/14
文章には作家、作家の独特な性格が出るものですが、この本は
変なクセがなく、読みやすく、楽しく読めました。奥田英朗、
垣根涼介、荻原浩なんかと似たような文章タッチに感じました。

本日、サービスデーは「誰にでもこんな日があったらさぞ
楽しいだろうな」と思いながら、物語にドンドン引き込まれて
行きました。面白い！
東京しあわせクラブ、あおぞら怪談などは見ようによっては
かなり危ないシチュエーションでシリアスネタだが流石、
ほのぼのとユーモアを感じさせる上手い仕上りにしている。
この人の本は、一種の清涼剤として読むにはとてもよさそう
に感じました。

5編からなる短編集。
「東京しあわせクラブ」「あおぞら怪談」「青い岸辺にて」の３編は、
いつもの朱川作品に近いように思いました。
「気合入門」はエッセイに近い感じでしょうか。
少しテイストが違うかなと思いました。

そして表題作ですが、これはなんともしっくりこない感じの作品でした。
ちょっと軽いというか、悪く言うと薄っぺらく感じてしまいました。
せめて巻末に持ってきたらよかったのでは、と思いました。
最初がこの作品だと、なんだかふわふわした一冊になってしまったように思います。

この本は、朱川作品をはじめて読む人にはあまり薦めたくないです。
なぜなら、朱川先生はもっと面白いお話を書く方だからです。
わたしは次回作に期待します。
